The scope of this training is to help maintenance technicians understand the basic functions of engine oils and how they are developed and classified.  Several key terms common to lubricants will be discussed to explain the classification, quality performance and composition of a suitable engine oil. The session will also cover various contaminants and failure modes experienced in heavy-duty diesel engines.  And finally, attendees will also learn about grease composition and classification.
